JENNY WHIFFEN


Jenny is an actress, director and writer with 20 years of experience in the industry. She studied English Literature at UCL, trained at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in London and holds a teaching licence from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Acting credits in London include Ordinary People at Greenwich Theatre (critics Award) and The Rehearsal at The Garrick (dir Ian Mcdiarmid), whilst cinematic roles include Sandrine in "Une Femme D’Exterieur" and Allie (lead role) in Almost Home. Her television credits include Jeeves and Wooster and The Bill for ITV, Headhunters for BBC, Bugs for Carnival Films and Sarah Wilde (Lead) in Canary Wharf for Live TV.

Jenny has directed four seasons of French classics for The European Theatre Company, run adult improvisation classes at Battersea Arts Centre and acting classes for disadvantaged teenagers at Nottingham Playhouse. Recently she has worked as acting principal for PQA Mallorca.

Jenny speaks Spanish, French and German and has solid business experience gained in Paris. She sees theatre as a universal connecting force and is committed to developing the very real benefits of ISLA through its theatre, education and communication work.
